Sharing my life with my sisters has not always been easy. Each time we get together I find an acceptance of each other’s differences easier.
For years my sisters and I only talk on the phone for a few moments saying hi and sharing a little about our own spouses and children. Living in different states prevented us from seeing each other. It was not until our children were out of the home and on their own were we able to visit each other. Our mother had explained the importance of communicating on a frequent basis and working on being with each other once a year. So this tradition began while she was still alive. Our mother was very happy to see her three daughters accepting each other.
Years have now passed since we began our gatherings and we have expanded them from each others homes to taking trips through areas no one has been to. The time together is filled with seeing the sites during the day and playing cards, puzzle making, life stories and relaxing in the evenings.
Being an “A” personality these get gatherings took me some time to accept. Working is not allowed and the news is not allowed. I found I could survive.
My tea is ready and I am ready to return to my busy life which I enjoy. I hope each of you knows your personality and accepts yourself along with your loved ones with their different life styles.
